This policy explains what information pjmstudios.com collects from visitors, how it's used, and the choices you have. It's written in plain language, kept deliberately brief, and covers this website only — not any client project or system PJM Studios builds for someone else.
Who this is
PJM Studios is a sole-principal studio operated by Patrick McKeown, based in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. You can reach us at hello@pjmstudios.com with any question about this policy or your information.
What we collect
Information you give us directly. If you use a contact or intake form on this site, we collect what you type into it — typically your name, email address, and message. We use this only to respond to you and, if you become a client, to deliver the work.
Analytics, automatically. Like most websites, this one uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand traffic: which pages are visited, how people arrived, general device and location information (city/region level, not precise), and similar aggregate patterns. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. We use it to see what's working on the site, not to build a profile of you personally.
CRM tracking, on some pages. Some client engagements include a first-party tracking script that reports basic visit activity back to PJM Studios' own CRM, for the specific purpose of that engagement. Where this applies, it behaves the same way as the analytics above — no sale of data, no third-party ad networks.
We don't run advertising pixels, we don't sell or rent visitor data, and we don't share what we collect with anyone outside the processors named in this policy.
Cookies and your choices
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you're okay with analytics cookies. If you decline, Google Analytics doesn't load for you. Your choice is remembered in your browser (via localStorage) so you're not asked again on that device. You can change your mind any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, which reopens the banner.
Declining cookies doesn't limit anything else on the site — every page, form, and piece of content works the same either way.
Who else sees it
The processors involved in operating this site are:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — anonymized-where-possible traffic analytics, only after consent.
- Our hosting provider — the server that runs this site, which sees standard web-server logs (IP address, request, timestamp) as a normal part of serving any web page.
- Email — messages sent through the contact form arrive in our own inbox.
None of these processors are permitted to use your information for their own purposes beyond what's needed to provide the service to us.
How long we keep it
Contact-form messages are kept as long as needed to handle the inquiry or, if you become a client, for the life of the engagement plus standard business record-keeping. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' own retention settings, which we've set to the shorter end of what Google offers.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time, what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@pjmstudios.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights under laws such as Quebec's Law 25, PIPEDA, GDPR, or various U.S. state privacy laws (like California's CCPA) — we'll honour the applicable one.
Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
