Fractional / Virtual CMO
Senior marketing leadership on a monthly basis: strategy, priorities, budget allocation, and someone accountable for the pipeline number. You get the judgment of a CMO and the hands of a practitioner in the same person.
Marketing strategy
Positioning, audience, channel mix and a sequenced plan with costs attached. Written down, short enough to be used, specific enough to argue with.
SEO: technical, on-page, content
Crawlability and Core Web Vitals first, because no amount of content fixes a site search engines struggle to render. Then structure, then the content that has demand behind it.
AI search visibility (AEO / GEO)
How answer engines choose and cite sources, and what changes structurally on a site to become one of them. Covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, plus measurement of brand mentions across them.
Organic social media management
Run for you month to month, or built as a system your own team can keep running. Organic throughout, no ad spend assumed. Either way the question is the same: what gets made, by whom, on what cadence, and what happens to the people it reaches.
Google Business Profile setup
Claimed, categorised and filled in properly: the free listing that decides whether you show up in the map when someone nearby searches for what you sell. A one-time fixed fee, not a retainer.
Paid social ads
Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn campaigns, strategy through to monthly reporting. Ad spend stays on your own account; the management fee is scoped to the platform and budget on a call.
Analytics, measurement & CRO
GA4 configured so its conversion events mean something, Search Console read properly, and a monthly view of enquiries by source and by quality. Then the testing that follows from it.
Grow on its own is fine. Connected, it’s cheaper.
Grow produces qualified attention. Build is what converts it instead of leaking it, and Automate catches what arrives and hands the outcome data back, so next month’s strategy is based on which enquiries actually became work, not which page got the most sessions.

Frequently
asked questions.
Straight answers to the questions we hear most about Grow.
Still have questions? Contact us →How is a fractional CMO different from an agency retainer?+
An agency sells you execution and reports on it. A fractional CMO decides what should be executed, including deciding to stop things you are currently paying for. In this case the person making that decision also has the team that builds it, which removes the usual translation loss between strategy and delivery.
Can I just buy one piece, like an SEO audit?+
Yes, and plenty of people do. A technical SEO audit, an AI search visibility review, a GA4 and conversion tracking setup: each one is a defined project with a fixed price and an end date. The retainer exists for people who want the ongoing judgment, not as a condition of working together.
How many days a month does this take?+
Most engagements settle somewhere between two and fourteen days a month. Below two days there is not enough continuity to be accountable for anything, and past fourteen you are close enough to a full-time hire that you should probably make one. Where you land inside that range is a function of how much is being built versus maintained, and it moves as the work does.
Do you work with businesses that have no marketing team at all?+
Frequently. In that case the first ninety days are about building a small, sustainable system rather than a large plan, something one person can keep running after I step back.
Is AI search visibility real, or is it 2026’s buzzword?+
Both. The measurable part is real: answer engines cite sources, those citations drive qualified traffic, and the structural things that make a page citable are known and testable. The buzzword part is anyone selling it as separate from good technical SEO. It is not. It is an extension of it.
Will you work with our existing agency?+
Yes, and often that is the right arrangement. Several engagements have been me setting direction and measurement while an incumbent agency continues to execute media.
Which half of your marketing is paying for the other half?
That is usually answerable in a single call, with your analytics open.
